In Store at Black Sheep Road

Inspired by the English idea of a ‘black sheep’ as someone who stands apart from the group, Peter Landa was moved to create Black Sheep Road, a concept store based in Amsterdam that provides clothing for those with individual style. The overall aesthetic is rebellious and nonconformist, with a wide range of exciting young brands on offer. We paid a visit to learn more about this unique store from the man himself

‘The store has been open for three years now. I chose this area because I love the street – it has a huge variety of antique shops, designers, restaurants and curiosity shops with accessories and such.

‘The street has become busier and busier over the past two years. Before it was mainly visited by locals, but now tourists are starting to discover this great part of town, too.

‘My store offers a unique mix of brands which are not very easy to get your hands on elsewhere in the city. It is welcoming, with a clean interior, vintage furniture and a lot of plants.

‘We sell mostly young and up-and-coming brands at a reasonable price. Our labels include Our Legacy, Norse Projects, Hentsch Man and Han Kjøpenhavn. For women we stock Sessùn, Storm & Marie, FrenchTrotters … These are just a few from a very long list!’
