Church’s hot foot it to Hooftstraat

Historic shoemaker Church's brings its superior quality range of brogues, loafers, boots and slippers to Amsterdam's most elegant shopping street

Isabella Redmond Styles,

Internationally known for its beautifully made shoes, British shoemakers Church’s has opened its first stand-alone store in Amsterdam.

Situated on the exclusive Hooftstraat, the elegant new boutique has been designed by Roberto Baciocchi and is dominated by a striking Saint Laurent marble portal.

Church’s has been in operation since the 1800s and a pair of the brand’s shoes can take up to eight weeks to make. The Amsterdam store stocks men’s and women’s footwear and accessories, and visitors can relax on one of the green leather seats and admire the classic interior, which features oak and glass, while considering which of this season’s styles to select.
