A perfect day at Batavia Stad Fashion Outlet

For a great day out head to Batavia Stad Fashion Outlet, the outlet shopping village an hour’s drive from Amsterdam. It has more than 100 stores, offering discounts of 30% to 70% on Dutch and international brands, from menswear and womenswear to children’s clothing, sportswear, interiors and perfume. Batavia Stad is open seven days a week and has a number of cafés and restaurants. Be sure to check the Stylist Choice, a trend-led selection of great brands at attractive prices

10am

Start your day with a cup of coffee and a slice of homemade pie at La Place restaurant, overlooking the beautiful Marker lake and the centre’s grounds, before heading next door to Polo Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger. This all-American lifestyle brand is great for stocking up on wardrobe staples such as crisp shirts and preppy knits, perfect for layering in spring.
11am
For great off-duty style, make your way to Superdry, where vintage American style combines with British tailoring to create a unique blend of urban clothing. Those looking to update their work wardrobe will find that premium brand Hugo Boss is the place to go for fashionable businesswear.
1pm

Take a break and refuel at one of the many restaurants in the fashion outlet. For a quick bite head to Mockamore for a selection of fresh bagels and delicious pastries. If you’re looking for something a little more substantial, the Italian Lounge serves a wide array of antipasti and cured meats.
2pm
Regardless of the time of year, investing in a statement coat is a must. Head to United Colors of Benetton to shop a selection of on-trend outerwear in an array of muted pastels and vibrant hues. We recommend Benetton’s flattering, lightweight, colourful parkas, perfect when layered over a simple outfit to add a pop of colour.
3pm

The sportswear trend was all over this season’s catwalks. To channel this relaxed style, seek out brands such as Lacoste, Le Coq Sportif and Converse. For more serious athletes, Nike, Adidas, Golfino and O’Neil are all nearby, stocking everything from the latest running gadgets to the best sports equipment.
4pm

Before you leave, be sure to accessorise at Sunglass Hut, a key stockist of high-fashion brands such as Prada, Ray-Ban and Dolce & Gabbana. Finally, stroll over to Marc Picard for some luxury leather bags; after all, you may need the extra luggage…

Opening times
