Discover a winter wonderland
Germany is famous for its festive markets and the Weihnachtsmarkt – Christmas market – in front of Cologne cathedral is a must-visit for anyone in the city over the festive period. It is the biggest winter market in the city, and its many stalls offer everything from Christmas-themed ornaments and locally made souvenirs to the best in regional food specialities to warm you up then and there or take home to enjoy.
The market is open from 23 November to 23 December, with special events throughout the month, and there is always something new to see, whatever your age or interests.
