Make-up artist Ricky Wilson has worked on fashion shows, magazine shoots and with celebrity clients the world over, as well as having collaborated with designers John Galliano, Vivienne Westwood, Vera Wang and Tommy Hilfiger.

Constantly on the move and always in a hurry as Dior’s celebrity make-up artist, Wilson needs to carry everything he could conceivably need to bring out the model or client’s features, and that means having as versatile a bag as possible. Wilson’s bag of choice is therefore the Tumi Arrivé.

‘This bag is great because you can roll it, but you can also pick it up if you need to run up a flight of stairs or go into a subway.’

Tumi’s ongoing series of Case Studies videos chronicles the stories of global travellers who use Tumi’s cases and bags as a major part of their jet-setting lifestyles.

Along the way they’ve also perfected the art of packing. Here are Ricky Wilson’s top three tips:

1. Use ziplock bags to pack your toiletries so if something leaks not everything will be covered in it

2. Get your travel apps downloaded on to your iPad before you leave (instead of taking your laptop with you) to save time and space

3. Bring your own mini bottle of hot sauce – airplane food needs a little spicing up!
