Verity Hogan,

Known for its extensive range, which features several unusual pieces, Röder is one of Nuremberg’s most popular jewellers. Its boutique in the Old Town has a vast selection of fine jewellery, and wedding rings are a speciality; brides-to-be can choose from the existing collection or book a consultation for Röder to create something unique. Alongside its own designs, Röder stocks a number of international brands, each with their own distinctive flair, including Trollbeads, FreyWille and Christian Bauer.

Staatstheater Nuremberg
One of the largest and most spectacular theatres in Germany, Staatstheater Nuremberg boasts an impressive art nouveau façade and seating for an audience of almost 2,000. The theatre hosts ballet, opera and drama companies, resulting in a diverse programme of performances every season which includes classic pieces as well as contemporary and avant-garde works. Loiza by Patrizia Pepe
Italian fashion brand Patrizia Pepe has developed a distinctive style for several seasons, producing pieces infused with understated glamour and incorporating flattering, feminine shapes. The brand’s youthful diffusion line, Loiza, reflects Patrizia Pepe’s signature style and adds a more daring approach: classic Italian elegance is combined with an exuberant colour palette and cuts inspired by unusual origami shapes. In its Nuremberg boutique expect to find chic separates in bold colours that would suit any occasion.

Based on a recipe that has remained largely unchanged for the last 600 years, lebkuchen is one of Nuremberg’s most famous culinary exports. This traditional soft biscuit includes almonds and spices, and Lebkuchen-Schmidt sources its ingredients from trusted suppliers; the biscuits are packed as soon as possible after baking to ensure the highest quality finished product. A wide range of lebkuchen varieties is available in the store, alongside other equally delicious biscuits, fruit stollen, mulled wine and honey.
