Porcelain house Nymphenburg has created a special-edition line of jewellery which has been inspired by the costumes created by Christian Lacroix for the opera I Capuleti e I Montecchi. The show, which opened at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich this year, centres on the feuding Montague and Capulet families from Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. Echoing Lacroix’s fanciful designs, Nymphenburg’s hand-crafted porclain top-hat necklace is a theatrical statement piece certain to animate any outfit.
