Sally Ashley-Cound,

Bucherer has just opened the largest watch and jewellery store not only in Munich but in the southern German state of Bavaria. The Swiss watchmaker and jeweller has refurbished the Palais an der Oper, which overlooks Max-Joseph-Platz, into a luxurious 500-square-metre store. As well as Bucherer’s own collections the store also presents exclusive watch brands and elegant jewellery.

Bucherer’s third Munich store is in good company, as the first German Louis Vuitton Maison can be found just across Max-Joseph-Platz. Just a short stroll from Maximilianstrasse and Marienplatz, Max-Joseph-Platz is set to become one of the most chic squares in Munich – if it isn’t already.

Bucherer’s existing store at Residenzstrasse 11 will be transformed into a dedicated Rolex and Patek Philippe boutique which will re-open later this year.
