Karstadt Düsseldorf takes a new direction

Popular German department store Karstadt has taken a new direction with its brand in the renovation of its Düsseldorf branch

Sally Ashley-Cound ,

Karstadt, one of Germany’s biggest department store chains, has recently refurbished its Düsseldorf store into a modern and welcoming fashion destination.

The store, which has four storeys and over 20,000 square metres of floor space, houses completely redefined departments for womenswear, menswear, childrenswear, homeware and a new shoe salon with exclusive concessions by Kurt Geiger, Aldo and Dune. More than 50 international brands feature alongside German labels and Karstadt’s own brands.

Each department has central areas where customers can gain ideas and learn about the latest trends, whether in clothing or kitchenware. The Düsseldorf branch is the testing ground for new and forward-thinking concepts, which Karstadt hopes to roll out to all of its 86 stores across Germany.

Karstadt, Schadowstrasse 93, 40212 Düsseldorf, +49 (0)211 36860
