Used, loved and trusted for decades by some of the world’s most influential figures, from scholars and scientists to poets and artists, the Montblanc Meisterstück pen has a unique heritage. Its name translates into English as masterpiece – it is one of the company’s signature products and the one that represents Montblanc’s overarching desire for perfection.
Created in Hamburg in 1924, the pen is still manufactured there today. In fact, very little has altered from the original design and the original method of manufacture. Every nib is handmade by master craftsmen in 35 stages, before 70 additional processes are performed to assemble and test the pen.
Although over the years certain materials may have been changed in order to create a better and more ergonomic writing experience, a Meisterstück today looks much as it did in 1924, and this is one of the attributes that keeps customers coming back time and again.
To celebrate nine decades of this iconic pen, Montblanc has launched a range of limited-edition Meisterstücks, giving you the chance to own a piece of stationery history.
