Hannah Lewis,

Meissen, Europe’s first manufacturer of porcelain, was founded in 1710 and has maintained its reputation for excellence for over 300 years. Commissioned by Augustus the Strong, Elector Prince of Saxony and King of Poland, the first manufactory was established at Albrechtsburg castle in the German town of Meissen. Quality of the highest degree has always been Meissen’s primary aim.

The process of refining materials takes several months, and every item is handmade and handpainted by a team of skilled specialists who train for a minimum of three years and often far longer. As well as stunning porcelain figurines, collectibles and home accessories, Meissen offers a range of beautiful jewellery pieces that combine luxury materials such as gold and diamonds with Meissen porcelain. These unique creations are a wearable souvenir of three centuries of excellence.
