Bikini Berlin concept mall

The 200-metre-long Bikinihaus heritage building has been transformed into an innovative new shopping experience. Bikini Berlin, Germany’s first concept mall, is distinct from conventional shopping malls, offering a collection of carefully selected boutiques, concept and flagship stores

Emily Scrivener,

Berlin’s Bikinihaus complex, built in the 1950s, was an architectural expression of a new attitude towards freedom, lifestyle and consumerism. In 2013 the building reopened to provide a creative space for the urban customer.

Bikini Berlin offers visitors a unique place to shop, relax and discover new labels and international brands. Designed to break the mould of traditional retail outlets, the shopping mall will host local fashion brands instead of more conventional mall partners, creating an individual and personalised shopping experience. Global brands will be given the opportunity to install flagship stores or new concepts, exclusive to Bikini Berlin.

The mall also offers a series of temporary pop-up stores, allowing start-up companies and entrepreneurs to present ideas, test products and make a name for themselves.

Bikini Berlin has been opening in stages since autumn 2013 and will also offer places to eat, a cinema, stylish offices and a 25hours Hotel.
