Alexanderplatz Easter market
Easter is an important time in the Berlin calendar, with plenty of events taking place throughout the capital. Alexanderplatz will be one of the best places to celebrate Easter in the city, with a huge market offering the best traditional and not-so traditional Easter treats, from Easter eggs and crafts to lots of wine, music and hot food.
Louis Vuitton’s new store on Kurfürstendamm is a must-visit this spring. The prestigious street is already a famous venue for designer brands such as Burberry, Longchamp and MCM and the opening of a new store from one of the foremost French design houses gives visitors another reason to make a beeline here. Shop across all the core collections as well as top seasonal accessories including classic Louis Vuitton luggage, which is ideal for travels this summer.

From 26 April to 25 May, Hasenheide park to the south of the city is the setting for a spring festival which is particularly popular with families. The celebrations and attractions will include carousels, food stalls and performers. A highlight will take place each Saturday when a colourful firework display lights up the sky from 10pm. Admission is free.
This spring Danish brewery Mikeller opens a contemporary-chic a new drinking venue in the Mitte district. This is its first such opening in Germany and it offers 24 taps of both Mikkeller’s own brand ale as well as a selection of guest beers from some of the best producers around the world. The bar also offers artisanal cheese along with traditional German cured sausage and it is located within walking distance of some of the city’s biggest attractions, making it the perfect place to refuel after a day exploring.

47th Berlin Spring Festival
Head to Kurt-Schumacher-Damm to celebrate the arrival of spring in the city. A host of enticing carnival rides, from carousels to go-karts, will be offered across the park. Discerning foodies will also find plenty to please, with impressive food stalls offering sweets and hot treats from barbecue specialities to bratwurst. With free admission this is one of the best things you can do in Berlin this spring. The festival ends on 17 April.
Berlin is famous for its café culture and offers of a wealth of traditional and modern coffee houses. Five Elephant is one of the latest cafés to open and has garnered much attention, especially on Instagram, thanks to its stylish layout and its roastery. Grab a takeaway coffee and a dainty baked treat to enjoy as a picnic in one of Berlin’s many green spaces.

From 28 to 30 April, Berlin will beckon all art lovers and collectors to celebrate the best contemporary art across the city. For two days and nights more than 50 galleries will open their doors to a host of established and emerging design talent.
