Following the 2016 renovation of the women’s and men’s shoes and accessories floors, KaDeWe has revealed the renovation of the kitchenware and toy departments, and the sixth-floor food court.
The legendary department store, founded in 1907, is a key feature of the city and showcases the perfect blend of tradition and modernity. The food court on the sixth-floor is one of the largest in the world and was launched at a time when combining retail and restaurants in the same space was a very innovative concept.
Throughout the renovated floors, the gold and brass detailing and black brick walls channel KaDeWe’s signature aesthetic while offering a new, modern edge. The kitchenware floor is organised by product type and brand, while the toy area, spanning an impressive 1,000 square metres, is dedicated to the best toy brands, with opportunities to play and try the toys before buying.
