Get a chance to see Hermès’s craftspeople at work on the house’s luxury leather accessories and silk scarves first hand when the Festival des Métiers arrives in Düsseldorf this June

Hermès’s Festival des Métiers luxury arts and crafts festival is making a stop in Düsseldorf at the Areal Böhler’s Halle am Wasserturm from 6-11 June.

The free festival, which is open from 12pm to 8pm daily, is a celebration of 175 years of Hermès, whose fans have included Jane Birkin and Princess Grace of Monaco. It gives visitors the chance to watch the French atelier’s highly skilled artisans at work.

At the Festival des Métiers you can find out how the leatherwork for a saddle or handbag comes together and watch the printing of the famous silk scarves, which can take up to two years from initial design to finished product, in a vibrant space created by internationally acclaimed Milanese designer Paola Navone.
