A new mood of romance has set the tone for the SS16 fashion week season, with many designers across the four cities stepping away from a darker aesthetic and instead moving towards a softer, more feminine approach. This was also mirrored in the hair trends at Paris Fashion Week, with soft, romantic waves, braids and pretty up-dos coming to the fore. Make-up also mirrored the change, with heavy lip and eye make-up taking a back seat in favour of dewy skin, groomed brows and naturally stained lips – a very French offering. Long or short hair will work with next season’s hair accessory trend of silver crowns and metallic headbands, as seen at Saint Laurent and Chanel. Take a look at the top seven beauty trends for SS16 as seen at Paris Fashion Week here.
