The Beach: Colette launches 20th-anniversary art installation

To celebrate its 20th anniversary, the French concept store Colette is opening an exclusive art installation by New York-based collective Snarkitecture in the Musée des Arts Décoratifs

Jenny Desborough,

Colette celebrates their 20th birthday with a creative art installation. The Beach is an interactive artwork that conjures up a relaxing and carefree summer mood of sipping cocktails by the sea through its use of everyday materials. Visitors can stretch out, recline and seemingly float as they immerse themselves in an extraordinary setting of mirrors, a sloping floor and more than 300,000 balls made from recycled plastic. The installation is open for a limited time only ‒ from 21 to 25 March ‒ and is free to enter, with no need to reserve tickets. Enjoy a nostalgic trip to the Beach as the perfect tonic to a busy day in the city.
