In line with the current colour-blocking trend, Vanessa Bruno offered a strong collection of simple pieces in key colours. Against a basic palette of cream, peach, beige and black, high notes came from shimmering navy, rich summer coral and metallic pewter. The collection featured a selection of below-the-knee skirts and dresses, continuing the current midi-length trend, and reworked hemlines for next summer with the introduction of structured midi-length A-line dresses.
For an evening look, satin midi skirts in shimmering gold and jet black were teamed with calf-length gladiator sandals, creating a modern rock-chick look. Trousers in a variety of slimline crops in black were accessorised with neutral, sheer tops and waistcoat-front blazers, updating the city-chic working wardrobe. Hinting at Bruno’s playful side, models took to the runway in sheer petticoat-style dresses with one-piece costumes underneath, while a selection of cut-out print and softly appliqued dresses made a light introduction to next season’s wardrobe.
