Show Report: Céline Spring/Summer 2012

Phoebe Philo’s collections may not be as experimental as the likes of Comme des Garçons but nevertheless, each season she stretches her vision to new horizons and almost always meets with universal approval from the wider fashion community. Spring/summer saw a continuance of her clean lines, bold shapes and use of block colours, with thick belts, boxy tops and knife pleat skirts adding intrigue to the otherwise simple styling. Rich emerald green and burgundy tones lent an autumnal feel while leather was lightened with bold colour panelling.
