Prada’s main source of inspiration for the autumn collection that has just arrived in Paris is best expressed in the ingeniously decorative line of accessories. A cartoon and videogame theme is omnipresent – powerful colour combinations of orange, purple, white, green and shades of tobacco reflect the futuristic world so boldly imagined by Miuccia Prada. Geometrical ornaments alongside strategically placed plastic embroideries add extra momentum, as though Prada’s fantasy has itself placed a stamp on the leather. For an additional 3D effect, some purses have been enhanced with glittering gems from Swarovski. The collection’s elements come together in a genuinely thrilling combination.
