Paris designers took a practical approach to summer dressing for spring/summer 2018, with collections focusing on the great outdoors. The sportswear trend that dominated last season’s catwalks was given a stylish upgrade, with designers paying homage to all-weather dressing. Collections with practical, light anoraks, waterproof jackets and stylish athleisure pieces all had an added lux appeal. Many fashion houses took their catwalks outside, with Balenciaga, Louis Vuitton and Rick Owens all making a strong case for the trend, which was further reinforced by accessories ranging from sturdy trainers to bucket hats and hands-free bags. The 1990s revival that has been seen at all fashion cities this season continued in Paris with cult 90s accessories dominating the show. Take a look at the top trends from Paris Fashion Week SS18.
