As Paris Fashion Week draws to a close, we take a look back at the top spring/summer 2016 trends. A new mood of youthful innocence emerged during several of this season’s collections, with designers such as Giambattista Valli presenting a modern and young look with charming pattern prints worn over short hems. For Alexander Wang’s last collection for Balenciaga, the designer presented an unapologetically feminine compilation with striking silk and satin dresses giving a clear nod to the lingerie trend that took over the week ‒ it will be interesting to see where new Balenciaga creative director Demna Gvasalia, previously at Vetements, takes the brand.  Here we chart the seven standout trends for SS16 shown at Paris Fashion Week.
