The Palais de Tokyo museum in Paris is hosting an exhibition that demonstrates how Chanel No5, the signature fragrance of the Chanel couture house, became a classic.

The No5 Culture Chanel exhibition, open until 5 June, takes visitors on a journey through time, accompanied by Gabrielle ‘Coco’ Chanel.

Visitors can browse artworks, photographs and archive papers that document Chanel’s inspirations, including her love of travel, and will discover how Chanel No5 became a dressing-table classic that has remained a best-seller for nearly a century.
