Famous French fashion house Christian Lacroix, renowned for its bold use of colours and prints, is making a retail comeback with its first store launch since going into administration in 2009. The eclectic new Christian Lacroix Mix & Match boutique is housed in a former print shop in place Saint-Sulpice in Paris’s 6th arrondissement; it is laid out like a cabinet of curiosities, with zebra-skin carpets and avant-garde geometric print furniture.
The boutique stocks the brand’s menswear, leather goods, scarves, sunglasses, home furnishings, scented candles and stationery ranges in addition to a selection of vintage accessories chosen from the label’s archives and handpicked pieces selected by Sacha Walckhoff, Christian Lacroix’s creative director.
Among the artful array of offerings are designs by Sam Baron and Pierre Favresse, Shamira Klein’s colourful beaded jewellery range, coloured glassware from Portugal, Claus Porto soaps, Frederik Roijé’s Dish of Desire bird feeders and books tracing Lacroix’s history.
