L’École Van Cleef & Arpels moves to place Vendôme

Van Cleef & Arpels opens its new high jewellery school premises in place Vendôme in Paris, offering students a larger space, a library and more classes

Marina Nelson,

To start the new year L’École Van Cleef & Arpels opened its new jewellery and watchmaking space for students in the heart of Paris’s high jewellery district.

The school, which launched in 2012, has seen people travel from around the world to get a glimpse of the history and the art of working with precious stones.

Located within L’Hôtel Van Cleef & Arpels des Métiers, the new space offers more classrooms, courses and workshops. The popular history of art course has two dedicated rooms, designed in the style of an 18th-century salon.

Each course lasts four hours, is taught in French and English, and offers students a choice of courses such as gemology, design and watchmaking, held in four new permanent workshops. The high jewellery class has the largest intake.

Whether you’re an afficionado of the history of high jewellery or a novice in fine watchmaking, the expanded Van Cleef & Arpels school in Paris is the perfect place to refine your knowledge.
