From design to reality with Chaumet

Chaumet’s workshop director gives us an insight into its creative processes

Marina Nelson,

Chaumet is famous around the world for its luxurious high jewellery pieces. We spoke to Chaumet’s workshop director Pascal Bourdariat for an insight into how the jeweller turns design dreams into sparkling reality.

During its long history, Chaumet has cemented its reputation as one of the world’s most famous jewellery houses. When it comes to new creations, Bourdariat is very hands-on with the design process of each piece.

Year after year, Chaumet revolutionises its jewellery collections with new inventions and creative ideas. It takes time to construct each piece, and Bourdariat admits he finds it difficult to let go of the final collection as the members of the design team get attached to pieces they’ve worked on.

With such attention to detail, Chaumet ensures each jewellery piece remains unique and of the highest quality.
