In 1992, Christian Louboutin famously used his assistant’s nail polish to colour in the sole of a shoe, which started his trademark red sole. The story comes full circle with the launch of the shoe guru’s first beauty line – a collection of luxury nail polishes.
Louboutin lovers can now match their nails to their heels with a bottle of Rouge Louboutin, the exact same shade of red as the celebrated soles.
Rouge Louboutin is presented in a faceted glass bottle which graduates from an intense black to Louboutin’s signature red. Perhaps the most striking aspect is its spiked bottle cap, which is the exact height of the heel of the Ballerina Ultima, the brand’s tallest shoe. A striking addition to any dressing table, the new collection is a must-buy for Louboutin and beauty lovers alike.
The range will expand in September, with the addition of 30 new polishes grouped into three colour families: Nude, Noir and Pop.
