Inside Chanel’s new jewellery emporium

Chanel renovates the ground floor of its boutique on rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris in the style of a jewellery box

Marina Nelson,

Chanel recently updated the jewellery space in its Parisian boutique on rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, using satin-pink walls and soft carpeting to suggest the style of a walk-in jewellery box full of sparkling pieces. The space has an inviting, young, fresh and feminine feel, and follows the theme of a deconstructed birdcage.

Many of the interior’s features were close to Mademoiselle Chanel’s heart, including her Leo star sign, the quilting seen on pieces such as the iconic 2.55 bag, and her favourite camellia flowers, which cascade from the ceiling. The boutique combines high fashion and high jewellery, with pieces from the ready-to-wear collections displayed alongside the haute joaillerie pieces.
