Anna Ruohonen opens flagship in Paris

North meets south as womenswear designer Anna Ruohonen brings a touch of Finland to Paris with her new store

Hannah Lewis ,

Born in Helsinki but now based in Paris, Anna Ruohonen is known for her love of simplicity and an aesthetic influenced by both Finnish architectural traditions and the easy elegance of Parisian chic.

For her recently opened flagship, Ruohonen employed Finnish architect Pekka Littow to ensure that it reflected this merging of cultures.

The resulting structure is a minimalist creation, housing showrooms, retail spaces, production workshops and even the offices and relaxation areas of the designer herself.

What better place to buy Ruohonen’s cool clothing than in the space where much of it is made?
