Which are your favourite stores in Helsinki?
I like Louis Vuitton on Norra Esplanaden for its bags, but I also like small boutiques for their fashion, such as Kaarina K on Kasarmikatu and Nina’s on Bulevardi.
Can you recommend any good hotels?
Either Hotel Kämp on Pohjoisesplanadi or Hotel GLO on Kluuvikatu.
What Finnish speciality should every visitor to Helsinki try? You must go to a crayfish party on the archipelago in August.
Where do you enjoy taking visitors?
In summer I love taking them to the archipelago. In winter it’s great to go to a cosy restaurant or to travel to the north of Finland, where there is more snow.
What is your favourite city walk?
What’s the best city landmark?
The Lutheran Cathedral on Unioninkatu is the most beautiful building.
And the best cultural destination?
The Ateneum Art Museum on Brunnsgatan.
Which Finn do you most admire?
All the people who have made their dreams come true.
What advice do you have for visitors to Helsinki?
Come in the summer when it’s light and there are leaves on the trees.
Is there anywhere that visitors should avoid?
Helsinki in winter, it’s dark!
