Hotel Kamp

Over its 125-year history, Hotel Kämp has been at the heart of Finnish politics and culture. Founded by young entrepreneur Carl Kämp, the hotel opened its doors in 1887 to great acclaim, thanks to architect Theodor Höijer’s magnificent design. The cultural elite flocked to its restaurant to dine alongside journalists and international leaders. Though its star dimmed somewhat for a few years, by 1999 it was returned to its former glory and today remains one of Helsinki’s best-loved hotels.
