Drifters: the authentic taste of the Bahamas

For an authentic taste of the Bahamas, look no further than Drifters on Arawak Cay, Nassau, for delicacies that are must-try local favourites

Jenny Desborough ,

Arawak Cay, also known as Fish Fry, is the perfect place to eat Bahamian favourites with the gorgeous coastline in view. The cay is home to a number of seafood restaurants, including Drifters, where the menu includes local delicacies such as conch fritters, grouper and red snapper. Those who aren’t fond of fish will find plenty to choose from, including salads, glazed chicken wings and the Oh Yeah!!! burger. Finish your meal with duff, a delicious dessert; this Bahamian speciality is made with guava folded into steamed sweet dough and served with switcha, a lemony sauce. The restaurant has an upstairs dining room, as well as outside seating if you prefer to dine al fresco.
