Souvenir: Royal treat

Paulina Szmydke,

When it comes to silverware, Vienna’s top name is Jarosinski & Vaugoin. This silversmith is particularly popular among royalty. Its trademark is the saliera, a salt cellar first made by Benvenuto Cellini for the French king Francois I. More modern royal saliera owners include England’s Queen Elizabeth II. Vaugoin & Jarosinsky crafts faithful replicas of the original designs in gold, silver and bronze; prices reflect the material used.
