Sydney’s 1888 Hotel is a must-visit for all social-media obsessives. Built in 1888 as a wool warehouse, the 90-bedroom boutique hotel not only offers complimentary Wi-Fi, in-room iPads and smart TVs with media hubs, but also has a dedicated selfie space in the lobby.

Here guests can take pictures in big photo frames and tag #1888Hotel on Instagram. These photos will then appear instantaneously on screens near the reception area.

The hotel has also collaborated with local blogger Emily Fang from Little Black Book to create an ‘Insta-walk’. The 45-minute stroll around the hotel and harbour showcases the best places to take stunning Instagram photos. Guests are encouraged to take their own images, and they even have the chance to win a free night’s stay just by uploading a great photo to Instagram.

1888 Hotel is so inspired by Instagram that it is currently offering users with more than 10,000 followers a free night’s stay. Simply contact to redeem your free night.
