Global Blue’s Mobile Customer Care launches in WeChat


After a successful launch in early 2017, Mobile Customer Care has been extended to China’s number one messaging platform, WeChat, to better serve Chinese Globe Shoppers

Global Blue has extended one of its key innovations, Mobile Customer Care, to WeChat in order to give Chinese Globe Shoppers personalised Tax Free Shopping support via China’s most popular app.

A new platform, offering all of the Mobile Customer Care benefits

Launching as a real-time, one-to-one communication channel within the WeChat platform, this Mobile Customer Care extension offers all of the same innovative functionalities as the core service. These include transaction-triggered communication updates, which guide Globe Shoppers through the Tax Free Shopping process and remind them about the next required action, all the way from the initial purchase through to the refund payment.

Growing Mobile Customer Care’s global footprint

Since its successful launch in March 2017, Global Blue has expanded its Mobile Customer Care service to 17 key markets across Europe, Asia and Latin America, at hundreds of affiliated department stores and luxury brands. Four key Globe Shopper languages have been incorporated, including Chinese, English, Russian and Latin Spanish, with additional languages to be introduced during 2018.

This makes Global Blue the only Tax Free Shopping provider with a truly global mobile customer service offering.
