Global Blue launches mobile support for travellers

Mobile Customer Care (MCC) is Global Blue’s latest digital innovation, relying on a real-time notification service and a mobile-optimised website.

At key stages of Globe Shoppers’ shopping journey, transaction-triggered notifications are sent to their smartphone containing a link to the website where they can track the status of their refund and be informed about the next required action. Other value-added tools include refund reminders option and local airport guides.

MCC seamlessly guides Globe Shoppers throughout their entire Tax Free journey and ensures they have reached the refund stage. For merchants’, this differentiating service is the key to higher customer satisfaction level, increased refund completion rate and in-store revenue.

Mobile Customer Care is initially available in English, Chinese and Russian language and has just completed a successful pilot launch with La Rinascente in Milan and at Liberty London. The next phase of the implementation will see Mobile Customer Care introduced to further global luxury department stores and other merchant partners, as the service’s global rollout continues over the next 12 months.
