Minimum purchase amount removed in Spain

This new regulation aims to boost Spain’s retail industry

The Spanish Government has removed the minimum amount of €90.16 that previously applied to Tax Free Shopping transactions made in the country. As of July 2018, whatever the price of the goods are, international visitors have the right to claim back the VAT on their purchases.

This new regulation represents an opportunity for the Spanish retail industry to boost sales thanks to Globe Shoppers’ increased purchasing power. It also positions Spain as a highly attractive shopping destination compared to other European countries.
