APAC region celebrates exceptional Tax Free Shopping results with an industry conference.
In 2017, several key regional markets from Asia Pacific registered remarkable performances to propel the region into the global growth engine of the Tax Free Shopping industry. Against this exceptional setting, Singapore organized a conference to share Global Blue’s latest insights on the region.
In front of more than 100 industry leaders and key stakeholders, from international luxury brands and shopping malls, Jacques Stern, President & CEO Global Blue, presented insights on 3 distinctive Globe Shopper profiles from the region – “Elite”, “Frequent” and “Infrequent”. Later on, Jan Moller, CMD Singapore & APAC Sales Global Blue, leveraged on Singapore’s retail assets and performances expected for the coming months.
This event was also the occasion to present Global Blue’s annual APAC report: Asia Pacific Redefined – Addressing the region’s changing tourism trends. Produced in-house, the report covers the region’s Tax Free shopping yearly performances and tackles key topics for retailers looking to develop their business in APAC, such as the increasing influence of the digital on shopping and tourism trends or the future of Chinese travellers.
